CUPCAKES by Sonja

Cupcakes by Sonja has been around for as long as Serendra has been standing - about 6 years. But believe it or not, this is my first time to actually try it. I'm not a big fan of cupcakes. I used to think that I like cupcakes (being that I love anything sweet), but I later figured out that I only find them adorable. This Monday, Steph, Nicole and I were at Serendra early for the DeathCab concert and we decided to stop by Sonja's for merienda.

The tiny quaint shop screams vintage with its retro pictures framed and hanged on red and white striped wallpaper. Something about this makes me feel all young and girly. All in all, it was a fun little experience. I might actually start liking cupcakes after this. Anyway, cupcakes range from P60-P100. Not bad, but not cheap either. The three of us had a total of 12 cupcakes. Do not freak out. We didn't finish them all. We just took a bite of each (except the Choco Cream Pie which we just couldn't leave the hell alone).

Must try:
Red Velvet (Not a big fan, but Sonja's is famous for it so you might find it good)
Berries and Cream (Butter almond cupcake saved by fresh strawberries and vanilla icing)
Choco Cream Pie (Rich luscious belgian chocolate, whipped cream and Oreo. Need I say more?)
Melt-in-your-Mouth Flourless Chocolate (This does not lie. It really melts)
Berry Delight Strawberry Cheesecake (I may be biased because I love strawberries, but this is the best strawberry cheesecake yet.)
